Yet another Yahtzee Scoreboard

What is it?

It is a score card app for dice games that are basically played like Yahtzee.

Why did I do it?

To explain that I have to start in the past: a good friend of mine - let's call him Courtman - took me into "the inner circle" about 15 years ago. I mean the inner circle of persons who were introduced to the secret Yahtzee rules of family Courtman. These rules have been grafted and sophisticated since generations. From that time on I knew, that I would never play Yahtzee with any other rules.

One evening it happened, that we sat together and wanted to play dice. Unfortunately there was no pen and paper nearby, but an iPad. So it seemed to be obvious to look for an app which could serve us as score card. Even after a long search however, we didn't find an app that fulfilled our needs:

  • create a custom rule set,
  • play with real-world dices (not a virtual game) and
  • writing of points should work fast and smooth (without annoying rollup and rolldown of the full keyboard).
To cut to the chase: on this evening fetching pen and paper was the only way out of this misery.

But ambition has been raised - and that's how Yayas came to life.

How can I suggest an idea or report a bug?
